3. Website Information
We make reasonable efforts to ensure that the information published on our website is accurate and up to date.
However, website content is provided for general information and should not be considered a substitute for a professional inspection or survey of a particular property.
Information on the website may be updated, changed or removed without prior notice.
4. Enquiries and Quotations
Submitting an enquiry through our website does not automatically create a contract for services.
Where you request a quotation, we will provide details of the proposed service and applicable fees.
A booking or service appointment will only be confirmed once the relevant arrangements have been agreed between you and us.
Unless otherwise stated, quotations may be subject to change where the scope or requirements of the requested service change.
5. Appointments
Customers are responsible for providing accurate information when arranging an appointment.
You should ensure that we have reasonable access to the property and relevant areas that need to be inspected.
If access is restricted or important areas cannot be inspected, this may affect the scope or completeness of the survey.
If you need to cancel or rearrange an appointment, please contact us as soon as reasonably possible.
We reserve the right to charge a cancellation or missed-appointment fee where this has been agreed with you in advance.
6. Property Access
The person arranging the survey must have appropriate authority to provide access to the property.
You are responsible for informing us of any relevant access restrictions, hazards or circumstances that may affect the inspection.
We may postpone or refuse an inspection where we reasonably consider that conditions are unsafe or access cannot be provided appropriately.
7. Survey Reports
Where a written report is included within the agreed service, the report will be based on the condition of the property and the areas reasonably accessible to us at the time of inspection.
A damp survey is a professional assessment based on observations, measurements and information available during the inspection.
A survey cannot guarantee that every defect, hidden issue or source of moisture will be identified.
Some defects may be concealed within walls, floors, ceilings, insulation, finishes or other inaccessible areas.
Where further investigation is recommended, this will be identified in the report where appropriate.
8. Limitations of Inspection
Unless specifically agreed in writing, our inspection does not involve destructive investigation or opening up concealed areas.
We will not normally remove fixed finishes, flooring, wall coverings, fixtures, fittings or building components.
Our assessment may therefore be limited by the areas that are visible and accessible at the time of the inspection.
Where specialist testing or investigation is required, we may recommend that you seek advice from an appropriately qualified specialist.
9. Recommendations
Any recommendations provided as part of our service are based on the observations and information available at the time of the inspection.
Recommendations are intended to assist you in understanding potential causes and appropriate next steps.
Where works are recommended, you should obtain appropriate quotations and, where necessary, advice from suitably qualified contractors or specialists before carrying out work.
We are not responsible for work carried out by third-party contractors unless that work has been separately contracted directly with us.
10. No Guarantee of Future Property Condition
A survey provides an assessment of the property at the time of inspection.
We cannot guarantee that the condition of the property will remain unchanged after the survey.
Changes in weather, ventilation, heating, occupancy, maintenance, plumbing, building condition or other circumstances may affect damp, condensation or mould conditions after an inspection.
11. Fees and Payment
The applicable price for our services will be communicated to you before the service is carried out, unless otherwise agreed.
Payment must be made in accordance with the payment terms provided at the time of booking or quotation.
If payment is not received when due, we may suspend or cancel services until outstanding amounts have been resolved.
Any additional work or services requested outside the original agreed scope may be subject to additional charges.
12. Cancellation and Consumer Rights
If you are a consumer, you may have statutory rights under UK consumer protection legislation, including rights relating to cancellation of certain services arranged at a distance or away from our business premises.
Where applicable, we will provide information about your cancellation rights before the service begins.
Nothing in these Terms & Conditions is intended to remove or restrict any statutory rights that cannot legally be excluded.
13. Liability
Nothing in these Terms & Conditions excludes or limits liability where doing so would be unlawful.
Subject to this, we will not be responsible for losses that are not reasonably foreseeable or for matters outside our reasonable control.
We are not responsible for defects or conditions that could not reasonably have been identified during the agreed inspection because they were concealed, inaccessible or outside the scope of the service.
We are also not responsible for the work, advice, omissions or actions of third-party contractors or other professionals appointed by you.
14. Your Responsibility
You are responsible for providing accurate information relevant to the property and the requested service.
You should tell us about any known issues, previous damp treatment, building works, leaks, alterations or other circumstances that may be relevant to the inspection.
You should also follow reasonable recommendations regarding property maintenance and seek appropriate specialist advice where recommended.

Where possible, we will contact you and arrange an alternative appointment.
